Providence ,RI area needs more spanish TV.

When is Univison ,Telemundo ,MundoFox ,TeleFutura ,Azteca America ,Mega TV ,Caribevision coming to this area thru OTA?. This area's spanish-speaking population is growing faster than in the last 20 years.

In Providence alone you have TELEMUNDO on WRIW-LP ch 50 (anolouge),LATV on WLWC-TV ch 28.2,Univision on ch 27 out of Worcester. Not sure how the digital signal is now but the anoulge ch was there. What else do you want.

Would Providence receive the Telefutura station licensed to Marlborough, MA? I know it was channel 66 in the analog days?

The Providence area receives Univision's WUNI-TV 27 (DTV 29) from Worcester, MA and Telefutura's WUTF-TV 66 (DTV 27) from Marlboro OTA pretty well. The Telemundo affiliate is a low power analog station on ch 50, but that signal is pretty weak and has no digital signal as of yet.

The same is true here in greater Hartford with WRDM-CA analog channel 50, also a Telemundo affiliate. The Wikipedia article on this station suggests that it would use channel 19 for digital, if and when that happens.

Do you know if WUNI and WUTF are available on Cox cable in RI (as well as the HD signals?)

WUNI, yes (SD only.) WUTF, no. Cox carries the national satellite feed of Telefutura.

I think ALL ethnic groups need to be better served here in the Providence-Boston area. This is a melting pot of sorts.
