Providence Stations booming in to Southern NH

Two Providence stations have been BOOMING in to Southern NH the last few days, in addition to a couple from around New England. Here's what I have found...

92.3 WPRO (Providence, RI)
94.1 WHJY (Providence, RI)
107.5 WFNK (Portland, ME)
107.5 WFCC (Chatham?,MA)
99.9 WQRC (Barnstable,MA)
98.9 WCLZ (Brunswick,ME)
102.9 WBOM?? (cant find any record, but I think thats what they said)

102.9 is WBLM.

In parts of Manchester (especially on 93 near Exit 6) I can get WHJY 94.1 and WSNE 93.3 (Taunton, MA) instead of WFTN-Franklin and WNHW-Belmont. WNHW does not reach Manchester that well however when I have gotten a good signal from WFTN in most of Manchester and even into Bedford.

Thanks to tropospheric ducting - this usually happens on humid days when the conditions are right. For some reason, it seems that stations from Providence/Cape Cod and Portland always do really well during these conditions.

For what its worth, WBLM, WCLZ and WFNK actually can be received in many portions of southern NH on an average day too - its just that the ducting magnifies their signals.

Not sure where you are, but normally they are fringe signals in the lower Merrimack Valley (i.e. Nashua, Manchester). WBLM in particular is a pretty easy catch on most days in this area.

92 Pro-FM is not a shock booming there, as they have a nice antenna that gets em through CT, RI, & MA.
