Prudential TV Antenna

With DTV coming in February, what will will happen to Channel 68's TV antenna on the Prudential and more importantly, how will that eventually be removed? Currently, that antenna sits above two master FM antennas preventing a gin pole from being used to lower it down to the roof roof to be dismantled.
 
More than likely, it might sit there silent for sometime until they (ION Networks) eventually removes it (usually with a helicopter). Since the aero-beacon is well documented at a certain height with the FAA, that could delay things for a while. I know that ION Television (who owns WBPX/68) will more than likely relish the fact that they (eventually will) no longer have to pay rent for two transmitter sites as they are right now. Personally if I were running WBPX, I would consider keeping the Pru site as a warm standby, once they refit the antenna/transmitter for Channel 32 digital operation. If WBPX were to leave the Pru, you can bet that some of the lower powered stations would love to get 'BPX's perch on the Pru tower. It was good for Channel 38's first incarnation (from 1964-1970). It was good for Channel 68 for 30 years (1979-2009). Who knows what's next?
