Yeah, I listened for awhile. It was good to hear Jim Carolla on the show. Didn't get to listen long enough to see if they had Mike Shiloh, Craig Roberts, or any of the other former personalities on. How did they end it at 10?
I wasn't able to listen to it through the end because of work. I was out and about at the start of the last hour and managed to swing by my house and hit record on my Musicmatch. I'll check it out once I get home.
I heard some of Jim Carolla doing sports and UH football.
I caught the last 10 minutes online...Laurie Kendrick broke down, Pruett broke down. Pruett was going to post his farewell on his website.
Pruett & Shannon gone while w&j get support and syndication?
Interesting how a w&j cheerleader posted a message 2 days ago saying Pruett would be gone in 07 and Shannon should work as w&j's producer.
If I were Pruett, I would pull his spots from Cumulus. Why should he support people who put a knife in his back?
From time to time Pruett quotes Ritchie Havens, "the wheels of justice grind slow, but they grind fine."
Yes, that wheel in the sky keeps on turning...even though it needs a little WD40.
Too bad. I was hoping this was Jim & Brain's break to get back where they belong - on-air together.
I'll admit I'm biased. I learned how to do radio from these two knuckleheads, along with the rest of the S&P show, circa 1993 at KLOL. Since then I've worked in a lot of different radio environments and have yet to find anyone or anything that tops the level of professionalism - cleverly disguised as a mental circle jerk - of these guys.
Let's wish Pruett & Shannon the best. They both took some big chances and experienced a lot of lifestyle changes with their families to do this. It didn't work out. But maybe they created some opportunities along the way that will take them to the next level. Good luck guys, from someone who still owes you both big.
