PTC Study: Violence In 50% Of Primetime

I guess this 50% figure is supposed to be shocking? Because, in our world where crime procedurals and shows about vampires are two major genres, it isn't.

Anyone notice the amount of GORE on the air? I mean, showing a lot of blood - the real stuff and simulated too. Personally, I wish the parent teacher council or whomever are the troublemakers of the day WOULD do something about it. As I complained on another board, on Mystery Detectives they actually showed an actual burned human baby corpse on TV. They could have warned me. Can't get that image out of my head. I mean, C'mon! There's GOTTA be a limit somewhere. We are supposed to own the airwaves, after all- we the public. We have NO say whatsoever. It's all up to the nets now.

In other words, K, you were expecting HLN to give you a "burn notice"? :D

I say consider the source - THE PTC - A bunch of God-fearing Neo-Cons whose members were likely sheltered by their parents when they were youngsters so they wouldn't have to see "The Boogie Man" that makes up the REAL world. Because of that, they likely shelter THEIR OWN kids (Or try to) from the same thing. I pity those kids..... :(

I'm thankful my parents didn't fall for that BULLPUCKY (As Rachel Maddow would put it). They let me see the world for what it REALLY was. They didn't believe in trying to hide or somehow "Shelter" me from it ;D

Cheers & 73 ;D
