PUBIC HAIR ?

Since when do radio jocks care about what color a radio listeners "Pubic Hair" is ?
Those exact words were being used when a listener who called in who sounded like she was 12 getting her hair dyed.
"Are you dying your Pubic Hair the same color?, what color is your pubic hair?"

Radio has gone downhill and in the dumps when you hear that on a station catered to the youth. Anyone else catch that during the day on the weekend? I'm soo disgusted with radio. :-\

What a Moran.. Where is the FCC when we need em... I know Pulse and Z-100,, KTU,,, hot 97,,Power 105.. would never engage in such childish crude behavior in market number one... probably was a 12 yr old girl, or why would she be listening to that station.

In my opinion,, this incident is far worse than running a legit, sex related add on Pulse... At least Pulse isnt calling out its listeners,,, underage at that,, and unwillingly putting them on air.. if she is in fact underage, the parents could probably sue the station if they airchecked it for proof.

Hey, the youth seem to like it. And for all you know, it could have been a squeaky-voiced 19-year old. Lord knows there's plenty of those. :p

Let's say Chunky calls a teenage girl a fat ho on the air. Her peers are also listening to 92.3 Now, and then they make fun of that girl at school the next day. Her parents will want to sue CBS Radio if that girl comes home crying.
Chunky is running a contest in which girls are trying to win a prom date with Chunky. First of all, it's a bit late since most proms will be in a few weeks. And second, just think about the age difference.
If I said most of the things Chunky says to random girls, I'd be slapped.

Listen - I'm not sticking up for anybody here on this subject. But, I think all of you are total idiots if you think that Z-100 has been a squeaky clean radio station all these years!

Radiogroupie

Unbiased interjection. radiogroupie you are totally guilty of putting words in people's mouths and making an overwhelming statement based on d-bag logic. the only idiot is you for falling into the trap set for you and coming out the other end smelling like a turd.

Most CHRs aren't "squeaky clean", especially if they're playing If You Seek Amy. But I have not heard a jock as immature as Chunky on any station out of the hundreds I have heard around the country. My former high school's station had better DJs than Chunky. I can't imagine parents of teenage girls will like what Chunky talks about. Howard Stern is more mature than Chunky.
Just wait till the full ratings come out, and I can bet that weekday evenings will be the lowest rated.
I wonder how Chunky will be able to take a high school senior to prom, as many schools have an age limit in the early 20s for prom guests.
I'd be happy if they got rid of Chunky and put Lil Cee on weekday evenings. Lil Cee went from PM drive on 87.7 to Sunday evenings on 92.3, so his audience is less.

Wish you were right Nick, but these days, bad is good and crap is king. Totally bizarro world. The guy is making noise, getting noticed and he'll probably get decent ratings. There have been too many precedents: Todd Clem aka Bubba the Love Sponge and countless others. Jocks just trying to make a name for themselves and usually succeeding because outrage gets noticed in the media. It's nothing new, been going on since Alan Freed. This mook's just the flavor of the day. And we're talking about him. Makes me wonder who's worse? Him for doing bad radio, or us for calling him out and giving him the pub he wants?

Just out of curiosity...

Was it Chuncky?
How did the girl answer?

Whoever it was probably would have been better off asking if the curtains match the carpet.

Why the outrage over this? Ok maybe a little insensitve but come on you can hear breaks like this on nighttime radio all across the country. I find off color humor funny at times if it's delivered right. I think the real issue is people on this board are outraged that Chunky, was it him that said it...it still hasn't been answered, got a shot in NY. Many feel he doesn't belong on market #1... He got a shot so let's see how he does in the ratings before we throw him out of the city. Sometimes who you know is more powerful in how good you are in radio...haven't you figured that out yet?

This was DAYTIME on a saturday approx 12:30am, when kids are out on their way to the park.
Key word: Nightime radio. Totally innapropriate. No carpet or rug imagery was used, "PUBIC HAIR" was said and exactly what color it was and to make sure you match it. TOTALLY DISGUSTING. I have tuned out RADIO for good since then.

As tasteless as that may have been, don't you think you're being a bit unfair by lumping all of "radio" into the same category? What do the other stations, including non-commercial and non-music stations, have to do with this bit by one DJ on one station?

Why do you keep posting on this topic and not answering everyone's questions about WHAT DJ IT WAS?

Daytime @ 12:30 am? *gives a little lesson on a 12 Hour Clock*

AM = morning hours; Midnight is 12AM; so AM is Midnight to 11:59AM
PM = hours AFTER noon; noon is 12PM; so PM is Noon-11:59PM

LOL - just felt like getting techical if the person isn't going to answer anyone's questions, might as well call 'em out!
