Puget Sound Area Translators - Updates

I decided to start a new thread as there are other frequency shifts ongoing in the area.

The FCC just approved this one near Shelton:

CSN's Kamilche K221DV 92.1 ---> K217GS 91.3 (19 watts, no change)

Driving factor:

"Request for Non-Adjacent Channel Change"

"Applicant is requesting a change to non-adjacent channel 217 into the noncommercial band as a minor modification to the existing license. Currently K221DV operates on channel 221 which is a Co-Channel to K221GR, Lacey, WA. FAC #202411. Please refer to the attached contour interference map exhibit demonstrating that the interfering 40dBμ F(50,10) contour of K221DV Kamilche, WA. FAC #92815, which results in undesired overlap to the protected 60dBμ F(50,50) contour of K221GR, FAC #202411 which causes prohibited interference."

"Please refer to the licensed adjacent channel study exhibit showing prohibited interference. The caused interference from K221DV is completely eliminated by moving into the non-commercial band to non-adjacent channel 21"

Nationwide, CSN is "optimizing" their translator network with antenna/power improvements and frequency changes.
