I don't know about you guys and gals but Pugs and Company has really grown on me it is funny and I listen online so you can hear the extra hour which is always funny. I do miss Kelly though but it seems that he is doing pretty good without her. I think what makes its the the rotating cast of people in the line up that makes it good. Plus the Itunes podcast is really easy to listen to when I want to.....

Whoopee do

At work, I can't listen to my Sirrius..so now, Pugs and Company is pretty much the ONLY local radio show I listen to. And I love it. (I'll flip over to the Fan occasionally, only because it's unbelievable how bad it is). Plus, Russ Martin's return to the air only proves that DFW radio is continuing its rapid decline. Pugs' show is funny and real. If Pugs goes and nothing decent comes along, I'll pretty much cease listening to any DFW radio at all.

Since I finally decided to register here after years of lurking (ever since P&K disappeared from 105.3, actually), I thought I'd weigh in.

I was a loyal P&K listener for years -- kept up with podcasts, occasionally attended live events, followed them through their multi-station journey, and was even present that fateful day at Rockfish when their partnership imploded. Although I always preferred Kelly's personality and voice, I thought Pugs was a decent guy and figured I would give Pugs and Co. a chance. Unfortunately, I just cannot get into it.

The revolving cast seems to work for some of you, but I find it annoying. There's too many comedians to keep up with, and some (like Ralphie May) are just plain unlistenable. Emil sounds drunk/stoned a lot of the time, and his interjections derail the show and make me yell at my radio. The sports talk, especially MMA, takes up way too much broadcast time. If I wanted to listen to sports radio, there are (arguably) 3 other stations I would turn to before a crappy, staticky AM. We've mentioned this in the Ustream chat room before, and Pugs's reply is something to the effect of "I don't care. It's my show and I'll talk about sports if I want to." Okay, fine. Then you will lose listeners. People who want *quality* sports talk can find it elsewhere; people who want interesting, funny lifestyle talk will be disappointed and tune out. You can be right, Pugs, or you can be successful.

I hate to say it, but that show needs a woman so bad. Not just any woman (sorry, Jasmine), but Kelly or someone equally funny and level-headed. Until they get one, I'll be tuned elsewhere.
