I think its pretty crappy that they waited til Russ was gone to complain. Is anyone shocked that Pugs thought Russ was a jerk? Pugs isn't prince charming either. I can see where they wouldn't get along.

I don't think they said anything bad, all three are class act. BDH has always said Russ never said a word to him, so he just doesn't know the guy. Pugs has always said he did not like Russ. Not everyone gets along, and it is no secret in this town, a lot of radio people would not state it that lightly when talking about Russ.
BDH was really the only talent left on 105.3, him leaving is a much bigger loss to the station than to him. I would have thought that the station would have kept his show over the Jagger show.

What shocked me and didn’t was when BDH said he was instructed when he came on board at KLLI that he was not allowed to talk to Russ, look at Russ, or mention the RMS on his show.

Really Russ? You were a freaking talk show host on a DFW radio station and you couldn’t even go beyond that. Not exactly king of the world. What a rick with a P. And what a bunch of spineless ******* that management was to let him get away with that. I am so glad he is gone.

It's not like BDH is the only person describing Russ like that. BDH has zero to gain by making something like that up. Maybe you are not as privy to every facet that is Russ Martin as you may think. I am sure that he did not advertise to you, his cronies, what a downright piece of s*** he was to his coworkers. Even if he did, you guys were so blinded by his greatness that you would have not noticed, you being so happy with being on his good side. Wouldn't want to rock that boat, would you? It's easy to sit back and say that Amy is lying, the police are lying, the IRS is lying, Pugs is lying, Kelly is lying, BDH is lying, but Russ is all truth. Wow. Give it up. Pugs did say one thing that I thought myself...if Russ was such a ratings powerhouse, do you really think the station would have let him go?? I never bought his BS about his ratings. I know no one in Dallas that knew who he was. I mean the station was what, number 20 something in the DFW market, but Russ was bringing in tons of listeners?? I don't buy it. I still think the Sports format is a bad idea, but 105.3 had to try something. That ship was sinking fast.

BDH didnt have much to lose coming clean on the issue at hand, which was the total unabashed truth, something people in this business are afraid to state these days. Im proud of him that he did, as it showed the hypocracy that is the Russ Martin Product. Ive worked with people like Russ in the radio/tv and other businesses, people who think they're untouchable. Russ was a Dallas version of Steve Dahl, whos pulled the same BS in Chicago for years and then used the whole "charity work " angle with his foundation and board membership at Operation Kindness to make himself look good to his listeners. As they say, pride comes before the fall. Tarrant Co. wants a piece of him and he's been booted from his job, not to mention his potential IRS issues. I say his fall has only begun.
