Pulleze!

Why can't TMISU run more than three promos for Sports Parking Lot 6~twenty during the non-simulcast hours on Sports Siberia 8~sixty? The Nurse and I suggest the geniuses who are over producing News 92~three, where Hip Hop used to live, spend about 15 minutes of their day on KMVP. We can't take much more of Greg Shulte puking out "..warning track wall, you can touch 'em all..."!

LOL, Good Doctor! :D

Perhaps you also have heard about Gambo & Ash, Gambo & Ash, Gambo & Ash...
GAMBO & ASH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love Gambo & Ash!!
But enough already!!!

Isn't that the point? Why on earth are you spending any time there? It's like staring at color bars on TV. The last thing TMISU want is anyone spending time at 860.

In fact, I'm not sure why they don't air promos featuring 92.3 talent to make it completely unlistenable.

...or Clark Howard, 24/7 ;D

But don't give TMISU any bright ideas. They're Clark Smart whenever there is a hole that needs plugging on the weekend schedule, or the Lovable One's vocal cords are shot. The Nurse and I wouldn't mind hearing the Satellite Sistahs on Sports Siberia 8~sixty, either :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D Anything but "..warning track wall.."

What about TMISU Promo-ing News 92-three on Sports 6-twenty?? it does not seem exist.

It would seem to me that they would promo their News product on the old news station to help out those that are still confused (ie.: Edna in Sun City)

Also, the scorer's table at U.S. Airways Center said Newsradio 620 until just a few weeks ago on all My 45 games.

Hmmm. :-[

Think about it. These are the same people who would make Pamela Hughes managing editor.

Pamela has spent several years in the KTAR newsroom and demonstrated tremendous strengths in news judgment, story planning, creativity, and commitment to KTAR. She has a unique understanding of the news product KTAR must deliver in order to fully maximize its current opportunity.

Pamela's entrance to management will be nothing short of baptism by fire as she will temporarily assume oversight of the daily management of the news department while they search for the right person to fill the Assistant Program Director/News Director position. Pamela will handle daily news coverage planning as well as scheduling of reporters and editors. She will be the newsroom's first contact for editorial decisions and will be working to oversee the news department during this time of transition. :D

Does this mean Michael Anthony has left the building?

And if so, what happened?

I caught McBland talking to some Diamondbacks dude yesterday.

The subject?:

Buy Diamondbacks tickets and listen to them on KTAR!

Fascinating radio.

The Nurse and I've heard him on some field reports, but he's been MIA on the Noon Snooze on News 92~three, where Hip Hop used to live. We can only guess he found that assignment too boring as well and wanted to cover the latest "un-documented" drive by shooting in Maryvale. That'd keep any reporter busy!

TMISU must be in a tizzy...trying to unload Sports Siberia 8~sixty AND the former KWhyA 12~sixty in San Francisco. Guess the market value for future Colonblow formats on AM is just a tad depressed.

BoffoSimons- So, you work for Bonnuhville. I can't wait to see what they do to you for posting a memo from management to the Internet. :D

DR Akbar

I Think Michael is doing Pamela's former shift. He happens to be a terrific news deliverer.
He has style and substance and the station recognizes that.

Pulleze, Luvable 1 & BoffoSimons....leave the shilling to News 92~three, where Hip Hop used to live!

Back to topic - Nurse Jeff and I recall the fun Bruce Kelly had with 13~ten when Nationwide spun it off. For days it was "Radio Bruce" and he played the 60s, 70s, 80s and anything Bruce wanted! So how 'bout it MISU? Why can't we have "Radio Gaydos" on 8~sixty instead of the same three irritating promos 24/7?

Radio Gaydos - What a joke!

Dr A

If I was shilling I'd be on the Barry Young thread. I was answering someone's question. I absolutely believe what I said about Michael. Not every comnpliment is a shill job. Boffo will have to speak for himself.
BY the way I've told Michael those same things. I really appreciate his non "reading the news" style.

I'm not a Bonnevillain. Just someone who wishes KTAR could put someone in a position of power that knew what in the H-E-double-hockey-sticks they were doin'! ??? I grew up around these parts and used to respect the call letters. No more. The station is AWFUL - with a capital AW. It's sad with all the friends I have there.

KDKB is in the same boat. They've just been perfecting this awful form of perfection for longer - heritage station, great history, sucky station. No morning show, no direction, no ratings. Very, very sad.

I listened to 860 today and it can be quite hypnotic! ::)

Yes indeedy...Sports Siberia 8~sixty, where time spent listening is measured in seconds!

Hmmmm...I wonder how Arbitron will reflect this in the new book. ;D

AQS?? :-\

Perhaps the Media Hut can develop a survey specifically to measure the number of seconds each person listens to Sports Siberia* 8~Sixty.

The Nurse and I will run it through the Akbarizer* and let you know. In the meantime, the smart money is on Lumberyard 14~forty finishing ahead of Sports Siberia 8~sixty in the Spring book!
