PULSE 22.sucks and Dallas Mavericks basketball

Two things I wanna shoot, and lets see what my reaction is....

anyone remember pulse 22.5 i worked there for a week, this is in my younger years of radio, I wasnt getting paid but got in trouble for playing my own music and told the PD whatever i quit, hey i was work 6 hours a day for free, not worth it ! lol

Also, I know there are stations here that run Dallas Cowboys football & texas rangers baseball..I didn't care for the Hornets, cause hey to me they just took all the money from us Oklahomans and now they are doing well at home now? wow! I wonder where that money came from...

Well I always watch the Mavericks games on FSN southwest...they don't block them out since its "our regional team" sort of like the texas raners and st, louis cards are to baseball, why hasn't a station here picked that up, even the players on the Mavs team know that OKC has a strong fan base. I mean I am not looking for it to break ratings records, but something other than sports talk on a sports station, a good filler, for the select fans.

I agree this is a superb example of talent - or the lack of - in radio today. Ya gotta hang it on management, though. They want a great sounding product ... for next to nothing, and if you're not happy with that you need to scoot over. Some numb nut will pay them to let him do a shift. So sad.

It wasn't always like that; the top strata of stations, the picky ones, sorta paid good money and got talent -- but I think they too are changing.

The times they are a changing.
 
A PD who won't let you play whatever you want? What a jerkoff! Thank god you quit and went to work for those other stations with cool PDs! Oh, but wait: they paid you, so you had to obey their directives, darnit! Seriously, Pulse has been gone for years now, and you're still harping on this? If I recall, I last heard you on there in what, the late 90s? This is 2008, fella! Disturbing! Shoot, when Pulse had devolved to podcasting a few years ago, the PD even gave you a shoutout for providing him with the alternate version of Saved By Zero; and here you are still grousing about your earth-shaking experience with him. Ironically, you still list Pulse on your résumé...like any savvy broadcaster, keep putting on every little gig just to make it look like you've got vaster experience! Pulse's website is even toast now...why don't you let your agita die with it, and let your obsession with bashing Pulse go?
