not to mention the fact that as of right now they have no ratings, therefor, nothing to lose(and for all we know, they now have more air personalities than they have listeners...lol...

Cause most car radios tune from 87.9 -107.9 MHZ......They should move pulse to 87.9 !

I have yet to encounter a radio that doesn't tune to 87.7fm.

Looks like pioneer, and a handful of other radios don't start till 87.9

what are the handful of other radios?

not sure of all the brands but I know pioneer, kenwood, stock radios in Jaguars, Alpine and maybe another brand or two... I can't recall. I don't know that there are a lot, just a handful.

Borrowed someone's Lexus the other day and it only tunes down to 87.9. However my $20 car radio tunes down to 87.5 for some reason.

Hey gumby...yeah! great idea. Let's move an illegal (questionable) TV station audio that will be forced to shut down on 2/09 to another frequency because it wants to. Brilliant. Gee, let's move WMTR to 101.1 or 95.5 or 770. We can all get it better than.

Remember , IT IS NOT A RADIO STATION WITH WHICH TO BEGIN! And the hungry whrs at Arbitron are going to take their money, and screw their current NYC clients to with a ppm deal.

Please explain this move to WARY, WCPC, WYGG, at 88.1 which are legitimate radio stations who struggled to comply with FCC Rules and Regs.

Why don't they play the music video version of the songs they are playing and even put a camera in the studio so you could watch the disk jockey? Then it would be a legitimate TV station that you could just so happen to pick up on the radio. Who knows, It might even be a hit. They could have also become an affiliate of Equity Broadcastings new music channel "Retro Jams" which is airing across the country on low power TV stations. They play classic MTV videos from mostly the 80's and 90's with some occasional footage from the 60's and 70's. culled from concert footage, Ed Sullivan and various TV shows.

fly...that's the best idea I've seen on this thread yet. it's really a great idea...REALLY! BUT IT WILL END ON 2/17/09. But that is clever as hell. I love it.

Has the cut off date been set for LPFM's to switch to Digital already? I know other Broadcast TV stations have been given a date but was told that the LPTV stations have not been given a deadline as of yet.

Can you send me a link where I can read first hand the information that your stating.

Thanks,

jp

Exactly. It is NOT an LPFM. It IS an LPTV. You may be right however in the extended time, but it WILL go away.

Apparently my fingers were working faster than my brain as I mis-typed that. Of course it's a LPTV signal. :)
