PULSE 87 BIRTHDAY BASH NUMERO UNO

Doggone it, Pulse 87's anniversary bash/concert is over. I'm going to miss "Day and Night" by Kid Cudi being the I'm-on-the-list song every other hour.

As long as the male member enlargement ad (offering the free measuring device) continues to play, I'm still locked! I can't hear that one enough. Best low-rent commercial on the radio right now, and there's some serious competition for that "honor."

I was never caller 7...so can anybody tell us how the party was?
 
It was definitely packed in Mansion (the place the bash was held).

The show flowed well with acts coming on continuously along with a DJ set. They had the on-air personalities in between acts as well as bring out the entire management staff of the station. I left just before midnight.

Pulse 87 did a great job last night. The crowd was super enthusiastic and really showed their support for the station. Place was jammed packed.. I left and 1:30 and it was still going strong.
 
Here's a thought..I don't see why Pulse doesnt arget the nightclubs or local businesses..look at party 105 with their ads..a lot of local businesses and a lot of nightclub locations as well. I noticed Pulse hangs out at Johnny Famous. Get them to spill some dough, and your business will grow. Im sure if Pule sales ca pull this one off, then all the "others" will ee that a dance station can get advertisers local and big, and maybe just maybe the higher-ups can adopt a Pulse on a dial above 92. On that note, I didnt see why Pulse would sell some tickets, a lot more would show if people bought them and give THEM revenue instead of Craigslist :D
 
If Pulse had more people on the list than what they already had, some fire codes would be broken. By giving tickets away, they forced a rise in cume and TSL, which might be much more valuable in the future than $50 a ticket (they might get an ad contract worth more than $50,000 when their Arbitron ratings are higher). It would have been smarter to give away a chance to purchase tickets for $10 to caller #7, then they keep both the higher ratings and ticket revenue. This summer, they should have a concert in Giants Stadium as a nightclub is too small to hold their fans. It'll fill up Giants Stadium more than a preseason game.
If you didn't get on the List this time, just wait for summer and Party 105's Mega Jam.
 
They couldve used Webster Hall as their venue, its bigger than Mansion (home of Ministry Of Sound) and more people would fit without breaking codes. You got a point there with cume and TSL, and maybe it would keep the haters' yap closed, but they would get Some money for the station if they sold some tickets, thats just my opinion. Speaking of MegaJam, the only one I made it to was in 06. I wanted to go this past one, but that wouldve been a 5-6 hour drive for me.
