Pulse 87 coming back

Is this an official website.I hope it's true. But the stream dosent work.

It looks unofficial tho, I doubt this was created by the guy who also runs Original Hot 97, which is basically the same formula as Pulse.

This site was registered 2 days after Pulse went bankrupt. Its song history on the Shoutcast link shows the same songs since Party 87 died. The songs were not the songs I heard on 87.7 the next morning when it played an awesome dance mix for 2 hours.

Like I just posted on the NY Radio Board...

It looks (and sounds) as if it never left the air. I just spotted Kim Sozzi posting the link on Facebook, so I opened it up and started listening.

It sounds exactly the same.. same voice for the liners, the music and the quality is great.

Check it out - http://www.pulse87ny.com/

I got the call from Joel Salkowitz himself.

This IS true. Pulse 87 will be returning as an online station. It's too early to say but based on certain indications by past staffers and DJ's there may be an on-air personality presence as well as mix shows.

This time around, just LET PULSE DO WHAT THEY HAVE TO. No bashing, no dissing, no nothing. Party FM didn't deserve that. This time around, just enjoy and if a pop remix happens to show up....just ENJOY, PLEASE!

April Fools' Day, like every other holiday, seems to come earlier and earlier.... ::)

I gotta do this......

I just got back from the bakery. Here's some "humble pie" ;)
And not for nothing, I think the country music fans WOULD be happen if 1050 WHN came back :)

Here's the URL (link) to the audio from the www.Pulse87NY.com player (link to the player itself: http://www.pulse87ny.com/player/):

http://wms-11.streamsrus.com/pulse64k

If you open your own ("fresh") version of Windows Media Player & copy the above URL & paste it into the "File: Open URL:" field & click "OK", the audio stream should play. Then by clicking on the "enhancements" icon at the lower left corner of the player's screen, you can adjust/"beef up" the audio to your liking with the issued Player settings & with downloaded plug-ins.

So far, I haven't been able to get the stream to play in any other type player (may be a "windows media player only" type stream), but if anyone comes up with something, I'm sure they'll post it here.

Much like the dance format, such a flip would be filling a void on the terrestrial radio dial... Then again, doesn't New York already have 103.5 HD2 "New York Country," and doesn't that stream, as well? I wonder how many listeners that station is getting.

Actually, the 103.5 HD2 feed is now "Pride", which is supposed to be targeting the gay community but, with the exception of one show, musically has a format somewhat similar to what Pulse did. I think 106.7's HD-2 is country now "Country Road 106.7"

Nice to hear it back on the net but (still love if was on FM , i am not giving out ) , lads best off luck with the net and help please give me a shot

A band-aid on a gaping hole. Just another of maybe a thousand online internet webcasts.
