Pulse 87...from someone who you would NOT think....

I've been reading ALL the press about Pulse 87 the last couple of days...actually, since the beginning...

i gotta tell you - NO ONE has SUPPORTED a radio station HARDER and STRONGER than you, the dance music community, and your support of Pulse 87 - NO ONE!! You guys came out there, you rallied, you did EVERYTHING but the kitchen sink in order to make sure that current dance music would continue to have SOME KIND OF VOICE in the NYC area....no matter WHAT happens in the next 48 hours, you are ALL to be PROUD of yourselves....and those of us who have fought the same battles in other genres are proud of you as well...BRAVO!!

(editor's note - LOVE RUBY TUESDAY!! :) :))

I have heard the updates and aware of the celebration at Club Exit.  Someone in Binghamton, NY called me up to be a guest DJ at their station, I figured that the Binghamton crowd knows Pulse 87 and listens online on pulse87.com, I'd go up there and do a dedication to the best damn dance station NYC has ever had.  Saturday night after the broadcast, if you are in Binghamton, you know where to find me.  Scoreboard - 83 State St. Binghamton, NY

Im djing in the city on Saturday with Guru Josh project performing.. ill be sure to give Pulse a shout out :(

Andrea,

Thank you! I am very proud of our community because we ARE strong, a lot stronger than we may think and we WILL come together as a group to make things happen. We did it in 1996 and 'KTU launched. We did it in 2008 and Pulse 87 launched. We will DO IT AGAIN! :)

I know you will - and you got my support ALL the way... 8) 8)

Andrea,

Thank you for not sipping the haterade. I realize that it's far too tempting for some around here, including some self-proclaimed "experts" (who would have never predicted a cume of 1,000,000 for 87.7), while others just prefer to talk about their microwave ovens, but you supported the fans of Pulse and the dance format in the same way that so many stood by oldies fans and listeners of CBS-FM when it was "jacked." Something that some of the "haters" should try sometime.

thanks, dude..i just hope that dance music gets a NYC outlet QUICKER than the TWO YEARS oldies fans (including me) CAMPAIGNED for the return of the format....

(besides which, i'm allergic to haterade... ;) ;) )
