Pulse 87 in stores

nd2023

Banned
Today I was in New York City. I heard Pulse 87.7 playing in a Duane Reade on Lexington Avenue near Central Park! I told the cashier that I bought extra things from the store because it had Pulse 87 on.

That's great! ;D

I've been pushing stores all over the place to make the switch over to Pulse 87. Some places have, others haven't...and not because they don't like the format, it's just the dang signal whereas the station is hard to pull in! :-[

I can only hope and pray that somewhere down the line, Mega Media has so much profits whereas they could purchase a better FM location. That's the only negative on Pulse, and not of their doing; just the situation with 87.7 in general.

On Queens, Pulse 87 comes in better than the Empire signals in parts. I'm sure a few offices in the Citicorp building have Pulse on.

Nick, I doubt that for a few reasons. One, radio waves mostly go out, not down. Two, with a radio tower on he roof, there would probably have to be some shielding below it to keep exposure down to a safe level. I'd imagine that inside the building is a pretty bad place o pick up the station.

I do know from firsthand accounts that TV reception inside One World Trade Center (the north tower with the antenna) was horrendous. I doubt much would be different with the Citicorp building.
