I hope Mega Media allows other stations to license the Pulse format, or puts it on the bird. There aren't that many program directors (yet) who can program a dance station well, and if Joel chooses the music in rotation, it will sound great. I can see some failing urban-formatted stations in other cities picking it up because of Star and Buck Wild. They should undercut Movin' if they decide to license the format. Is Pulse a trademark? If this does happen, will other stations calling themselves "Pulse" have to change their slogan (Z88.9 - The Pulse of Burlington County)? Today, Pulse is a low power TV station from That Big Blue Building, who knows what it will be next year?

It'll be interesting to see how they do in the arbs.
Mega Media may just be on to something. There are alot of lagging "format of the day" stations in the country.
The moment may be right for more dance friendly formats with Rhianna and Cascada spinning every 5 minutes. Frankly lot's of stations would have nothing to lose!
Do I hear Pulse 95.5?
