Went to the Dallas Morning News site today, and got not only a flash "pop-under," but SEVEN pop-ups while flipping through about 3 pages!! Kathy and Co must have told the web dude to stick it to us for complaining about the pop-under. Tell ya what...I'll just surf somewhere else instead. Consider this a pop...OFF.

Both firefox and seamonkey from mozilla.com have unrequested windows blocker options, and I run flash-block plugins that are very effective ... no pop-ups/pop-unders here, even on wfaa.com.

That being said, I won't read the Dallas Morning news or Wfaa sites because they force you to register. AFAIK, they don't need to know what I read or don't read from the Internet.

I looked at KHOU's website last year. When asked to register I did under a fake name and completely false information about me and my preferences. Don't refuse to read just because they ask you to register. Give them false info that reduces the credibility of their research. I wouldn't trust it if presented to me knowing what I did. I don't think I'm the only one that provides false info in protest to being forced to register.

You're not...I use bugmenot.com to find existing logins for most of these sites.
