Purdue University announced Thursday (July 1) that it has signed a letter of intent to enter an agreement for WBAA radio AM and FM to be operated by Metropolitan Indianapolis Public Media (MIPM), which currently operates WFYI.

Quite possibly. Just one statewide public network with maybe some local inserts.

Any update on the date WBAA will transfer to WFYI Public Media ?

I found the terms of the WBAA sale announced today interesting; perhaps even a chance that Purdue could "take back" the licenses if MIPM fails to live up to their end of the deal. Certainly MIPM will probably want to find a way to use the WBAA music library in the Indianapolis market; maybe simulcast WBAA-FM as WFYI-HD2 ?
