Pure CHR Coming To Baltimore?

Lots of talk already in place on other boards, except for this one!
CBS Radio is about to launch a CHR/Pop station today over in L.A.
Rumors are swirling about more CHR launches coming in the next few weeks for markets like New York, San Francisco, Detroit, Boston, and...Baltimore/Washington.
While Washington DC is well served by Hot 99.5, which is a big ratings success in the new PPM world, Baltimore remains a market without an official CHR. Mix 106.5 straddles the line between Hot AC and CHR. Will it continue its evolution towards CHR/Pop? That already seems to be the case in San Francisco with Rhythmic AC Movin 99.7 inching towards pure CHR.
What do you think? Will Baltimore be getting a CHR? Is DC, perhaps, the market where a second CHR will be launched?

CBS seems to be unloading its Baltimore stations. Rumor has it that WHFS may land on either 94.7 or WJFK.
If CBS was smart then they would bring back the freeform alternative back to either FM station that would the WHFS calls, but unfortunately I don't it'll happen. :(

ddsparxx, have you been drinking? Or just typing way too fast? I agree, WHFS should return. Why CBS went with the GLOBE image and identifyer when they had an established, turn key, recognized slam dunk with WHFS is a mystery. They should have moved HFS to 947 back then. They have an opportunity to do it now! Bring back HFS CBS. And leave JFK alone. There is a market for personality talk. Arbs are not the whole story.

I have little faith in CBS being smart. They have made sure that most of HFS's fan base has gotten disgusted and given up. I waited for years for HFS to boost its signal to reach northern MD better and not long after they did CBS flipped it to El Zol....which is in about the same slot in the ratings as HFS was...hmmmm.....I just hope if they DO put WHFS back on FM its at a station I can recieve.

I think it's obvious that 104.3 is going nowhere and that it'd probably be the best home for a mainstream CHR. I think 94.7 would be a good home for the WHFS calls (and old format).
