Ahhhh yes. Many people aren't aware of the Registrant info that is available to the public regarding their website.

Good detective work jon.

Don't get too excited! Leonard Diana works for Clear Channel in Indy.
Cumulus flipped their talker in Cincy to PureRock and looks like the our friends on East Fall Creek are trying to block them from doing the same here. You might want to see what other formats in Cincy that Cumulus are doing and type in 939 afterwards...is it getting WARM in here??

Speakup just because Clearchannel registers purerock939.com doesnt mean that Cumulus cant still go with a rock format and they still could call it pure rock if they want all they would have to do for a site is go 939purerock.com or any form of 939 and purerock

Thanks for the lesson in programming.
It won't be PureRock.

That's a shame...Pure Rock is what WRZX was playing when Q95 bought them & switched it to Alternative. Pure Rock (at least in 1992 or so) really got Q95's attention...hard to respond to without blowing off your classic rock baby boomer base...

very boring... couldn't they have come up with something new
instead of using wgrr's? how creative! impressive... boring!

Again, a broad generalization about what a huge number of people want to hear. I'm a part of the second half the baby boomer generation and yes I like SOME classic rock, but I also like A LOT of the pop-oriented stuff that was played in the late '60s thru mid '70s. WKLU's on track, but not the track. If 93.9 goes with classic rock it'll simply be playing more of the same music that 104.5 is ALREADY playing.

If Mr. Diana is still with CC then why would he use a gmail address instead of his CC email? And also why would CC his email stop working?

Lenny was filling in for Ace by answering phones for JMV late last week. JMV said that the awful, so-called alternative music at the X was still being chosen by Lenny.

(I agree with JMV about the music on the X)

Rock stations in Indy have been unimaginative in their programming. Shall I simply say BOOOOOORRRRRIIIINNNNGGG!!!! Say what you want about Lenny, but X is better than it was with Pearl Jam playing once an hour. It was HILARIOUS hearing the Drop... Indys "NEW" Rock Alternative and then they'd play a song that was 9 to 16 years old. "The Track Dude" can stay at the track.
At one time there was some light at the end of the tunnel when Rock 107 was around but the PD's failure to let go of personal tastes of an alternative format intstead of following the lead towards Active rock killed that station and now we live with Polka music on 107.... Oh wait.. Thats Regional Mexican music @ a whopping 0.6 share.
I hope and Pray that a Vendetta to crush Fall Creek is in the Crock Pot slow simmering over on Shadeland Avenue. At least we will have an interesting 2008 before listening to another month of Christmas music at year end in 08.
What does this make? The 4th format since the Bear in 5 years on 93.9? The Bear... Retro... The Song... FMBlab.... and now....DRUM ROLL PLEASE...?????? I hope its not Mediocrity again! COME OOOON CHRIS! Give Fall Creek a punch in the eye!
I sincerely hope 93.9 goes for an edgier format, something with teeth. Central Indiana Radio is just Plain Boring at best anymore. That's another reason 101.9 failed. It lost its testosterone with Libby driving it. Sweet gal but who needs another fluffy Tie Dye? 101.9 started with attitude and edge then got all squishy, warm and fuzzy. It's a shame, a dam shame I tell you. Where has the attitude and balls gone in radio? It's time for a good ol' knock down-drag out-kick in the balls fight!!!!
But what do I know..... Not much. I'm siting here like the rest of you BORED with what we have, happy I have my MP3 player and Sirius, yet I miss the yester years of Hard Core Radio Wars.

Now I don't care WHO you are: that's FUNNY, right there!

(And Lenny Diana *is* still in the Clear Channel e-mail directory.)

IKE...Fall Creek is certainly running for their lives. Two days after Mr. Wheat returned they fired his former assistant for maintaining her friendship with her former boss. They had no proof but labeled her a security risk. Rumor has it that the real reason is SHE knew he was coming back and DIDN'T tell THEM. Expected loyalty to be a one way street apparently. They are battening down the hatches and running scared. Just because they're paranoid, doesn't mean they don't have reason to be.

Oh this is SO-RICH and proof that the CCU-types need-be PUT OUT OF THEIR CORPORATE MISARY! Have the champions of radio mediocrity been reduced to blocking possible domains of another frequency in the market at who-is? GOD—this is pathetic! WHEN are you over-leveraged high-dollar toddlers in the so-called “radio biz” going to arise from your intoxication and realize that YOUR CLIENTS in the Marketing Industry have long-tired of your insufficient belly-belches?

CCU is a DISGRACE and so is its “intended victim” Cume-Less... Do you have ANY idea how LITTLE notice [and respect] we in the auxiliary biz of providing for your sacred “budgets” have for your childish shenanigans? For God-sake, at least offer miniscule credit to the originators of your relatively-USELESS multiple-MBAs, and ACT like those with a true business acumen.

Wow, so can you tell us your TRUE feelings about big corporate radio?
