A&M or Interscope (i don't know anymore) slapped Avant onto this song and added some strange sounding instrumentation and have called it the "Urban Mix".
______________

I gues someone at Universal realized that "Stick Wit U" wasn't going to be added by any other formats then CHR/Pop and wanted to mantain the "street credibility" they had with "Don't Cha."

Personally, I thought of them as one hit wonders, but Don't Cha is still a damn good song to shake it to.
______________

When I got the original single (-busta/pussycat), it was a song by tori alomaze. You have any idea how it became a pussycat dolls song (Don't cha, that is)?

Ceelo Green (formerly of the Goodie Mob) was the producer of the song and he decided to give it to the Pussycat Dolls to market as a hit.
______________

At quick glance the following CHR/RHY stations are not only playing "Stickwitu" but they're playing it as a medium or power:
WPYO/Orlando
WNHT/Ft. Wayne
WKHT/Knoxville
WKKL/Harrisburg
KYLD/San Francisco
KBOS/Fresno
KWIN/Stockton
KDGS/Wichita

So it is getting airplay outside of CHR/Pop. And the album is okay.

Yes, Ceelo is the producer. And Tori's version was well on it's way to being a hit before PCD.

However, here's what I had heard.... :)

He and Tori had a bit of a falling out.

Universal looked at the project. Didn't feel Tori had a strong follow up.

Tori is also an older, thicker woman. Not slim and sexy like PCD.

So they basically pulled the plug on Tori's project.

But they're sitting there, and without really working the single anymore, it's still growing weekly.

In come the PCD. They re record it, re release it, put an album together, and now have an album to sell off the strength of that airplay.

Not sure if PCD was already on Universal or what though.
