Put YSP out of its misery now Infinity

The music is becoming a small luxury over at 94.1. The Eagles are done, so Saturday afternoon there is a football game on, tonight there is a hockey game on, Ed is talking more. The slots they usually play music on are being replaced with talk and sports. Why don't they just give the music up and let someone else give it a try, I do not understand why they are still beating this dead horse playing music here and there. I was told they are keeping the music, but now, I don't believe it, they are leaning toward eliminating the little music they play. If Infinity thinks its that important, WOGL should pick up the sports, they play that repititious top 200 over and over, at least let YSP rock nights and weekends.

The fact that WYSP plays rock music in some dayparts, and goes with talk or sports programming in other dayparts, does not preclude any other licensee in the market from attempting a rock format.

If anything, the hypothetical rock flipper would then have the advantage of being able to claim they rock, while Free-FM isn't.

So, pardon the pun, but any station is "free" to attempt this holy grail of a rock format that seems to be ever so elusive.
