PYKO Units. Alternative to Barix?

BSW and Broadcasters Gen Store have them at $500 a pop. The ONLY thing that might make me use one would be the need for outputs. I'd love to be able to fire something at a translator site. Local liner over a music bed, 1 minute news once an hour, you get the picture.

Hi,

I thought they were more expensive than the Barix uints. Barix units cost $ 199 for exstreamer and $ 399 for instreamer .. the PYKO units go for about $ 500 each.

Yes, that is true for the Barix 100 series. But I believe the PYKO units are comparable to the Barix 1000 series (balanced audio, bi-directional on mono, etc.), which are around $1000 each.

I guess the real question of the week is are the more RELIABLE and better than the Barix units. I have has a rash of bad luck at the decoder end with several lately...
