PYX 106 Audio

Has anyone noticed lately that PYX sounds almost unlisteneable?
It has been bad for a while but lately it is terrible. I heard Layla from Derek and the Dominos, one of my favorite songs, and my ears were bleeding listening to it for 2 minutes, at normal volume . Is it just me? To compare, the River sounds 10 times better.
 
It's been bad ever since the HD was fired up. ironically, the HD side sounds pretty decent, but the analog has highs that get the neighborhood dogs barking whenever a record is playing. I think 'shrill" is a nice way of putting it, but most certainly another word starting with 'SH' would accurately describe how PYX has sounded over the past couple of years. Definite tune-out factor.... at least for me anyways.
 
How far the one mighty PYX-106 has fallen! Horrible audio and automated/voice tracked most of the day now.
Completely voice tracked from out of the market during weekends now too. "Aerosmith is going on tour...see if their coming to your town" to quote the "Rock and Roll authority"...
