Q 101 FORMAT CHANGE????

I read a posting on another board that Q101 will be changing their format this week, possibly as early as Monday. I am not posting
this as a fact, like I said I read it somewhere else. I was just wondering if anyone has heard anything about this?

I hope it does change format - it's one of the most horrible alternative stations I've ever heard as far as music selection goes.

How are the ratings? Is Emmis happy?

So you think Jeff would tell Wall Street that he is unhappy with LA and Chicago?
Did you notice the stock price today?

52 Week high: $10.86
Last check: 2.47

Read this article: http://money.cnn.com/news/newsfeeds/articles/newstex/AFX-0013-22137209.htm

The trades have been reporting for months how some of their biggest longterm stockholders are wanting to take control away from Jeff so they can sell off properties and get some of their millions back.
Good luck to the new PD.
I would suggest renting by month.

After another dismal fall ratings experience, Emmis has returned the PD stripes to Q101 APD MARC YOUNG and APD BILL KLAPROTH for The Loop. EMMIS had previously eliminated the "PD" title, following MIKE STERN's and TIM DUKES' exits about a year ago. Guess that "Brand Manager" concept didn't work as planned.

MARC YOUNG was named APD/MD earlier this month. He officially starts January 28th. Expect changes in music and staff soon after.

Not certain about the Loop, but the fall book was Q101's best since Mancow left. The Morning Show is showing huge gains in the male demos, and the rest of the station (aside from nights) all had up books. Hardly "dismal". The music tweaks and personality changes have clearly been a move in the right direction.

Big deal.

Q101's ratings were ALREADY deeply entrenched in the crapper in every daypart outside of mornings at the time of Mancow's departure.

So, saying the fall book "was Q101's best since Mancow left" is not saying much at all.

I agree with you about the music changes, but other areas of the station still need a LOT of work.
