Okay, what's the deal? I'm driving home from work this evening around 6pm and I pass New London's Q-105 van... doing about 70 on I-195.

In Somerset.
Massachusetts.
Well outside the broadcast range of Q-105/New London.

Are we going on a road trip? Does the Cape have great motel deals now that all of New Jersey has gone back to their home state?? What the hell?! It cost me 41 bucks to fill up today myself. So I ask: who's checking the gas account over at Citadel New London? What in the world are they doing in Southeastern Massachusetts anyways?!

I'm confused...

Where abouts in Somerset? They could have been at FUN 107 too. For some reason or other?

They certainly were headed in that direction. They were in the center lane doing about 70 on 195 between Exit 3 (Swansea Mall) and Exit 4(Ocean Grove).

Better yet... who cares? That's what this board has come to... spotting radio vans and wondering where they are going?

If you don't like it, TS. Keep your opinions about other posters to yourself.
You're wasting page space...

It could have been on a trip to get something from one studio to tthe other.
Maybe engineering had to transport something or pick up a part, or someone in the office needed to get some paperwork.

It's all possible...

Citadel has several promo-vans that travel Route 195 & Route 95.
You have, WWLI/WPRO-AM/WPRO-FM. Same can be said with CC Stations
WHJY/WSNE/WWBB/WHJJ. How many times will a sister station 'borrow' another van
because:

#1 They van they need is out of service. Due to a mechanical problem. Or simply lack of routine maintenence, causes it not to start.

#2 All the equipment they need for a specific remote is in the sister van, & for whatever reason the promo-guy/gal uses that one. Instead of taking the correct van.

#3. Its closer to the building & HAS MORE GASOLINE & working AC!

hahaha...the adventures of kevin palana....or maybe it was Frank the engineer heading to Fun.

Maybe Fun107 put an order in for another 22 weekenders & they had to be brought in from other states?

Let the speculation end...Frank the wonder engineer uses it daily and goes back and forth between the 2 stations

Exactly! Last weekend, I saw the "Wolf 93.3" (Laconia, NH) van in Milford, NH - about 65 miles to the south (and generally out of range).

They were doing an event for Frank 106.3 - also owned by Nassau. Just a simple sharing of resources by co-owned stations.

All those stations studios are in Hooksett (and vehicles probably garaged there), so it's not that far a stretch from Milford at all
