Q-107 was Jack before Jack was cool

I've never heard the "Jack" format, and I know that it originated in Canada. But from the reports I've seen, the playlist can't be much different from what Q107 in Florence inflicts on the Shoals area daily. I mean, where else are you gonna hear Neal Sedaka, Katrina and the Waves, Shania Twain, & Hootie and the Blowfish back to back to back! Quite eclectic to say the least.

Thousands of Shoals listeners can't be wrong, can they?

It is certainly a diverse playlist. There is some method to the madness, for example there is a "funkadelic friday" only playlist... things from that list aren't played at any other time on the station.
What choices do Shoals folks have? 'QLT has a Big Ol Stick, and you can hear it just about everywhere in the area clearly. Don't get me wrong, I liked most of the format there, but it's certainly not perfect.
