Q-96 Move-in

Honestly, I think it's a very bad transmitter site. Most of their power is going into Mexico though. Unless they are planning to convert to a spanish-music station, I don't think this was a good move for them.

If this was a decision to run a radio station, yes. But from all of David's posting, and the previous threads on this, the old owners have no interest in running a station anywhere, they are interested in selling a radio station signal. Seems like it is really two things that are being done:
1. Fold the actual station in the market;
2. Sell another station somewhere else, targeted to a small specific audience (good luck with that guys).

I feel sorry the people who live in El Centro who now have no where but the internet to listen to Top 40 music. If you don't have an iPod or an iPhone in El Centro/Imperial Valley, you're SOL. I know it is a business, but what a horrible stab in the back by KSIQ's owners to say "thank you for listening, but we don't care about you." If that's the case, I'm glad they are getting out of radio. Who needs that anyway?

I am going to take a wild guess here, but once the station is broadcasting in Campo the owners might sell it to a realigous broadcaster lets say KLOvE. just a crazy guess. :D
