Q has worked out deal to boost signal

Susquehannah and Clear Channel have made a deal concerning 100.5 frequency which will allow Q 100 to improve their Gwinnett County coverage. Considering that Clear Channel was granted an application to keep class C status on their upstate South Carolina 100.5fm I find it odd CC is now willing to downgrade 100.5 Gray Court SC to a C0 which means they want to stay on the current stick.Q has just filed an application to stay at their current transmitter site and upgrade to a directional C2 from the current directional C3 property. The applied for signal will put a 60dbu signal over Duluth, Buford,Lawrenceille, Snellville and most of Gwinnett county with a slight null away from WSSL. They want to move up to a HAAT of 298 on their current tower and boost power to 12.5kw which means maximum class C2 facilities.

you can check out the FCC website to see proposed 60dbu coverage maps along with the susquehannah/cc agreement

I do not see what financial agreement came about to make this agreement happen

So Rick, are you saying they'll stay on the Westin? If so, won't that make them the only station still there (after 92.9 moves)? Sounds like a great deal for Q100.

The agreement says that both 100.5's will stay at their current sites and the app has the coordinates with change in HAAT and power. The WWWQ application will only raise the HAAT 7 meters.

Susquehannah has agreed to cover all costs for the new applications that were just filed but since WSSL-FM will not make any facility change there will be no cost incurred by Susquehannah in way of a actual facility change for WSSL since there won't be any.

good, maybe this will boost Q's ratings, which they much deserve. They are a great sounding CHR.

But how will this affect Q?

So I guess this probably means that Clear Channel has some deal to acquire Susquehanna in the works. Why else would they go for this?
