I did not want to put the title of the show in the SUBJECT
to avoid skimming over this post/thread, but was
Jon.kate + 8 a "set up" ?

straight forward:
A closed meeting with three people
an un-named TLC suit, jon and kate ( no eight),
to say...hey, you two will know the truth..
so . . . here is :

1.confidentiality statement, (to ensure success)

2.multi $$$ (figure) contract, ( to give motive)

3. "promise" to reconile (on tv) after the "whole misunderstanding"
is cleared up during the entire season and half of
the inflated ratings-boosted jon plus or minus kate (oh, yea and the 8 ).

(to provide closure. and hope?). ."hope" is tv "lingo'' for a spin off ?!

hmmm?
 
I'm Serious.
A well-thought out agenda, that
is to be orchestrated deliberately,
with each puppet...err, "reality star"
waiting for the next cue....from the director.

It seems like a lot of trouble to go through, for a tv channel to wreck a family of 10 people, make them villains in the public eye, have them cavort with young women, then expect America to come back to them in any way when it's all over.
So yall are saying that Jon has just been acting out a part ALL ALONG during the run of the show and with the extra-curriculars, and Kate has too? And the press is just responding because it's easy and spoon fed to them?
Man if they have been doing that, they are the best actors in "reality tv," they might wanna go professional when this is all over, tour with the Globe Theatre casts or at least some Second City improv or something, cause they are GENIUSES....

As well as the press that covers it, especially if the Jon and Kate split is proven to be kayfabe.
