Hey Radiodude,

For those of us not in the market, can u give us more details? Who are Ace and TJ? thanks for the updates
Man, that was quick!

That's false. Donkeys, remember? :D

As for "Holladay laughing his (rear) off," I'd say it's more like "shaking in his boots." Word is they're already planning another dumb move (read: format flip) on one of their sticks to go after Q.

Apparently Clay's forgotten his history lessons. It's failed before and it'll fail again.

I'll put my dollar on one book for that station.

Excuse me...yawn..Q isn't the heritage station...they got "booted". Q is a target right now..oh, darn..it's because they lost the Morning Zoo..yeah, that's it. Bet that dollar at least if they make one book it will be alot longer than the all new Morning Zoo got. The guys didn't even get a chance. Sniff..sniff.

You didn't ask me but I'm answering anyway. Ace and TJ are a syndicated morning show out of Charlotte, N.C. WNKS if my source is right. They are syndicated in Birmingham, AL, Myrtle Beach, S.C. Florence/Muscle Shoals AL and a few other cities.

i dont think clay or anyone else at The radio people should shake in there boots! i mean come on the cc stations or urban or what ever they are at this time..... need to worry that they have killed first of all the heritage station to put a couple on a morning show with a pd that has no clue as to what he is doing!!!! and there morning show is not any good come on they sound like a old married couple... they dont do good radio... maybe they should have left the q morning zoo alone and done something with there country station morning show the other day parts are ok .... now they have just messed up two of there stations... so why would the other radio stations worry..... there morning shows and all of there stations are good... so tell me who should be worried ??? dont think the radio people should be the ones worried.......i like all formats of music and i personally just like to hear good music and a good DJ.. and i dont see much of that left at the urban radio stations.... but everyone has they on view on things are we wouldnt have these boards now would we! but they can be fun i guess!

So, radio_rocks, which Holladay DJ are you? Are you SAM? No, you don't look like a satellite dish to me (we all know how Holladay's a local operation and everything). Maybe you're one of Clay's many yes men? No, that's not right either. Couldn't be Eddie, he doesn't even know what a computer is. You gotta be Clay. After all, the only people who have anything positive to say about the Holladay Format Wheel either currently work there and are in fear for their jobs if they don't tow the company line and the Holladays themselves.

You want to talk about how CC has ruined radio? Holladay's no better. They can't even take a dump without approval from a consultant. And how could we forget their trigger happy "flip-the-format" finger? They're about to use it again from what I've been told by various sources. Bye-bye, Sam! We hardly knew ye... of course, that was because you had 2 listeners who actually thought some guy named Sam was always there playing CDs. Oh, and don't get too fond of the Buzz either. That signal's about due for a flip. And I also have to wonder what the new format will be on 102 for this book. Polka's about the only thing they haven't tried yet.

But since the Holladays are members of the good ole boy network they're not picked on. Too bad I'm not in that brotherhood, otherwise I might be tempted to give a rat's you-know-what about that.

Boy theairdownthere... you sure seem to have alot of hate!!! wonder who you could be????? think i know.... poor baby...... get over it!! we all have our own views on things and some of us know what we are talking about and some of us dont have a clue! i'm not a against anyone if you know what you are doing and can do good radio more power to ya..... theradiopeople have been around for 50 years.. oh and i'm not a dj for the radio people like i said everyone has there point of view on things and i'm just glad i dont have to walk around with the hate you seem to have... to bad for you!

Where in the hell did you go to school?

I'm sure I'm not who you think I am. There are many other people who Holladay has screwed over through the years.

But back to the post: All I'm saying is that if you want to say that Holladay is better because they do the live and local thing on WOKK (which nobody cares about, just look at their numbers) then that's a case of the pot calling the kettle black. Let's see... SAM is on the bird, your "classic country" station is jukeboxed, the Beat is on the bird in the morning. 910 does have a local morning show but they're really a non-factor since no one listens to them (no one who isn't in a nursing home anyway).

Pot, I hope you and Kettle have a wonder life together.

You're quite the authority on the Holladays aren't you? Gee I believe everything you say. ::) Big grudge there dude. ;)

theairdownthere it's bad when you let hate take you over that way dude get over it man..... that is way to much infor to know about a place you dont work but if i had to guess your not even right about half of what you just said... you just wanted to put it out here to make people talk a little more hate....... hate can kill a person man.... you need to get over what ever you deal is it looks like it consumes your life...... again i say to bad for you!

I guess some of these posts prove that you need no formal training to be a jock. ::)

I think the poster in question stated he/she is not a jock. Posters aren't required to be literate but some are also just bad typists. Since we're on the subject there are a couple of jocks on air who really do butcher the English language. Jay King is one who does not. He is the most well-spoken jock on the air.

Yeah, Jay's good. I also like the new afternoon guy on OKK...John Fox. Sometimes he sounds too good for the market, though, like he's voicetracked.

I agree, Jay King is the best ever on the air. He has a smooth voice and adds so much to his show. He is what made that station number one in my opinion. He did steal all of the males 25-54. He is a true Radio King.

I have always liked Jay King, I lost him in the 90's when he left WOKK since then I listen to him often. I used to listen to Scotty Ray and Debbie but she acts like she's asleep. It's sad they used to sound so chipper on the other station. I listen to XM in my car. But since I found this place it has been interesting. Everyone here seems a little mad about something. I hope what ever it is can be calmed down it shows meridian as a fussy place.
