Q100 Late Nights

I was listening to Q100 for the first time in a long time overnight between 8pm-5am last night at work and noticed that Q sounds much more like a mainstream CHR late at night than it does after the Bert Show in the mornings and into the afternoons. The Hot AC tendencies of Rob Thomas, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Gavin DeGraw, and Buck Cherry seem to diminish overnight. They were playing Jay Sean's "Down", Jason Derulo's "Whatcha Say", Mariah Carey's "Obsessed", Lady Gaga "Love Game", just to name a few. Now if they would just do this all day, I would be a much happier person.

yea i'm really drawn to the billy bush show for some reason. he plays some decent music and gives a little scoop while he's at it. i switch back from that to the john gibson show on 920 wgka. sometimes i slide on over to miss joyce littel on v103s 'quiet storm' just to shake it up.

Okay. I will give you that. Q100 at night does sound much better. But still no where near how a true CHR should sound. And not only that but all that AC/HOT AC that they play during the day, they still play it at night! Notice how when they go from a hot CHR song that they then quickly go right into an AC hit such LIFEHOUSE's "you and me". Then, yeah....(another CHR/Urban song) But then....(just to remind us that they are still, "Lite100"), they're quick into those same old TIRED, Hot-(AC) songs, even at 12:30 at night.

You're totally right. They should play the urban friendly songs all day. But. Still....Listen sowntime, to "HD98.3" out of Augusta or "97BHT" out of Wilkes-Barre/Scranton....that's REAL CHR radio! And on top of that, Q100 is STILL NOT playing......

KANYE/JAY Z/RIHANNA "Run This Town" (huge hit!)
CASCADA "Evacuate The Dancefloor"
IYAZ "Replay"
David Rush/LMFAO ft. Pitbull "Shooting Star"
PITBULL "Hotel Room Service"
LA ROUX "Bulletproof"
JORDIN SPARKS "S.O.S. (Let The Music Play)
MICHAEL FRANTI "Say Hey..."
(and many more)

plus as a CHR, Why do all of Q's recurrents HAVE to only be HOT AC songs?!
Even during the day, Q100's recurrents SHOULD BE stuff like:

M.I.A. "Paper Planes"
PITBULL "I Know You Want Me"
JAY Z "Can I Get A..."

(mix that stuff in with Taylor Swift, Gavin Degraw, etc)

((THAT's TRUE CHR))

Some stations tend to sound fresher during the overnights. I don't know if it's the case with Q100, but a lot of new music tend to be played during that time as well.
