Q101 Meridian - Betty Partridge Passes On

Longtime followers of Q101/Meridian (now Q95) will be saddened to learn of the passing of Betty Partridge, widow of former co-owner/GM Don Partridge, and mother of Mike, Jana, Debbie and Susan. Betty died in an assisted living facility this past weekend and her funeral was Monday. The early days at Q101 were dominated by the Partridge family - back then Betty worked in the office and did bookkeeping. Betty remarried after Don died, but I don't recall her new married name. Don passed away in '87 as I recall.

Betty was a lovely lady. I remember her from when I was very young. Very sad to hear about her passing. She and Don were a great couple. My prayers are with her family.

Larry,

Nice to see your presence on some boards dedicated to "real" radio days...

Tonedeaf,

Were you doing radio in Meridian?

Are you "David Dawg" Edney?

Yes, I was in Meridian several times. I was the original morning man at Q101, among other things.

*LOL* Yes, Larry...I know when you were in Meridian (I was there with you on a couple of occasions). I was asking "Tonedeaf" it he/she worked in radio in Meridian.

Sorry, I didn't see that the question was directed at her. I figured maybe you were so old now you just forgot who I was :)

Not during Q's glory years but I did know the family. Radio came later for me.
