C'mon...I find it hard to believe that NO ONE has seen or heard ANYTHING.

Last I was told, they haven't made a decision yet...but have one or two people left to interview.

Anyone know who they've flown in?

For one, neither station can be heard clearly in parts of metro Philadelphia.
Second of all, both stations lean heavily on Rock and on the Adult side, whereas Q-102 is much more accurate in representing what's hot on the CHR/Pop charts:

Personally I think PST used to sound much better, and more balanced, up till a year ago. Shame, shame, shame :(

You have the right to your own opinion, but the fact that you think WSTW is "superior" to Q102 is laughable. WSTW might be one of the most unfocused, non-personality oriented stations I've ever heard. Give me a break..

I wouldn't say that. It takes forever for Q to add anything rock or adult oriented these days. They only added Lifehouse when it entered the top 10. They took forever to give Weezer any meaningful spins as well. Where's "Holiday" on the Q playlist? Oh, it's not there. Even a few straight Pop hits like "These Words" are being practically ignored.

As far as balanced CHRs go, Q is no Z100, they're not even a Hot 99.5. I realize Q is in a war with Wired, but I think their lack of balance is turning off mainstream listeners.

The difference is mostly in the dayparting. They've gone adult during the day but their night show is still balanced. Overall I'd consider PST the more balanced CHR. That might not reflect the charts, because the charts are leaning rhythmic right now, but PST has the better balance between rock, pop, rhythm, and even country.

No, I can not. The individual has not flown in yet. About the only thing that I can tell you is that it is someone who is currently doing nights in a top 50 market, which doesn't help you much, sorry.<P ID="signature">______________

Either B-Dub at Kiss in Milwaukee or JJ at KDWB in Minneapolis.
Those are top 50 market night guys in midwestern markets.

You also have Scott Tyler at KDWB (JJ does 10pm-2am), Mack at KISS- Chicago, Broadway Billy Macc at KSLZ- St. Louis, Dylan at WNOU- Indy, Cabana Boy at Mix- Kansas City to choose from..

Not implying that any of those ARE the person in town this weekend, but simply saying that they are also night guys in Top 50 midwestern markets, so you may or may not have it figured out..

Okay. Now we're getting somewhere.

The only jock I've ever had a chance to hear in that list is Mack at Kiss in Chicago. I highly doubt he's up for afternoons at Q102 since he is absolutely horrible. Then again, they have Jessie doing nights so who knows.

I've said it before and I'm sure I'll say it again: WPST is the best CHR in the country, IMHO. (I haven't heard them all, obviously, but I've seen an awful lot of sample playlists.) I have no problem with the daypartting, by the way. It's like getting two great-sounding stations on one frequency.

Q102 is garbage--and way too wrapped up in it's turf war with Wired. I'm not terribly convinced by the constant protestations of any Q102 cheereleaders found on these boards. I can hear the drivel!

WSTW is pretty good as Hot-AC's-masquerading-as-CHR's go. But the processing is just disgraceful. I still can't understand why they don't care enough to fix it. I can only stick with 'STW when they are playing a song that I absolutely love.

I like most of the personalities on Q102 though. Call me old-fashioned, but I'll listen to Q102's Jessie J--even though she's pretty much just playing a pitched-up Billboard chart--because I think she does a really good show most of the time.

I like the guys on WPST but I'm a little amazed at how amateur they sound. It's refreshing at times though. And the music is hands-down better than what's happening at Q102.

I don't even know what to say about the night show at 'STW. Quite odd. Ha ha. But at least he plays Natasha Beddingfeild!

I like Lisa Paige a lot (she should still have her own show), Alecia in middays is sounding pretty good, Kasper is great too, one of CHR's best jocks and I'm sad to see him leave. (I see WAKS/Cleveland streams, that is cool) But really, if you were "old fashioned" you wouldn't be complementing Jesse Jordan's so-called "show". You'd be calling her out for being just plain awful!! Between giggling at herself and saying "Holla at a bitch" what seems like every single break, there's no time to do anything compelling or funny. Even that newbie baby-DJ night jock over at Wired does a better show and grasps the basics of a break better than her. Guess we'll just agree to disagree.

If you actually think that the terrible night jock on Wired is better than Jessie J, then we certainly will have to disagree! Are you sure you think the Wired newbie is better? Or do you just dislike Jessie J so much that you think anyone's better? 'Cause seriously...Chris is A-W-F-U-L. (Hot as hell, though.)
