Q104's New Overnight "Jock"

Lately I've been sampling Q104 in the early morning hours, and have been introduced to this new wisea** DJ they now have in overnights, who goes by the name "Doc Reno". This guy is clearly voicetracked because 1) he never mentions the station by name, and 2) he always babbles on about news stories that are generic i.e. not local. The worst part about him talking about these news stories (usually "oddball" stories) is that he will start to talk about it, and you'll think there's a punchline or something coming up, and before you know it, BOOM, cold segue right into a local break...

I wonder if this is part of that new "Premium Choice" package...

You'd be correct. One of several (a dozen or more) CC "national" low-cost voicetracked talents under Premier Choice. Doc Reno ... afternoons in Miami at Big 105.9.
