Q106 blast from the past

That was a great logo. It survived the "Hot-FM" days, and fit well as a rocker..

Pretty wierd that Q's website is housed in St. Johnsbury.

3 out of the 4 dj's listed are still with Nassau, just in different capacities:

1. Lori Richardson moved into the traffic department and then into the sales department at Q-106.

2. Art is now at their Boston WCRB property as production director.

3. Leif is in Portland on FRANK and also voicetracks on various stations across New England.

Who REALLY Cares?

Agreed. Not a fan of the new logo.

Would like to see Art voice track a shift on the Q again, even from a remote location. The station sounds so anonymous now.

Wow that is a blast from the past.. That website of about 9 to 10 years ago is better than the WSYB website of today.. Oh, hold the phones... WSYB has no website today ! That old WSYB website is also on par for quality with the Pamal - Rutland websites of today, except for the Z 97 site.

And yes, an Art Steinberg VT'ed shift on Q106 would sound very good.

Wow. That's gotta be 2002-03 era. Doug Daniels was the PD. I was doing weekends/swing at the time. Why that's parked on the St Johnsbury site I have no idea. Cool find though!

Wow, personality??? You don't mean maybe like in the old Dave Ashton, Guy Dark, Wally Wilcox days...or am I going WAY too far back for you...
These guys were real people on the air...not just liner readers....but then again, that's the way MOST radio was "Way back when", in the ANCIENT 80's.....oh, and of course the format was different...maybe 80s CHR allowed for more personality?
Then again, I don't live there anymore, and don't get to listen, so I shouldn't talk....
It would be fun to know what these "old timers" are up to, though.....I see on another post that Guy has a PD gig in Packers country...but nothing on the other guys.....

Who, on staff at the time, designed or had a hand in designing that website ? Any ex-QSters's living in the NEK ??

Jo Jo. My big girlfriend at cc and I are tryin' to put a finger on it. Your Mary must say from up here on the farm in Sharon, that was a short lived project created by a stoned few at whdq. :-X In fact this lil' ol gal remembers a dead beat friend of KB... Do you remember a Val Davis? I think this old site is up as part of a web-based portfolio. Then again, I'm just a lil ol' farm gal from up here on the farm in Sharon!!! :p

Ms. Mary ;)

I'd bet, 'the farm' that, there's your answer. I do recall Val Davis. Great call the Divine Ms. M !!

I know Val did a few of the Vox sites. If you look on the bottom, you can click on the like to his main site. Doug Daniels did a bunch of web WORK too.
