Q107.5-The Move IS ON

Rumors from inside the Flinn Shack on Mt. Moriah is that people are leaving Q107.5 both voluntarily and involuntarily. Heard of one person getting blown out because they called one of the upper management "fat ass".

George Flinn is probably losing patience about this point and tired of losing money, so expect a flip back to the Pig, which had better ratings, or to a Jack Format, since he has been known to talk to consultant Gary Wall about Jack.

Whatever Flinn does is not going to make the earth move for any of the credible broadcasters in Memphis.

Well, I only gave that a matter of time before the owner got bored and decided to change back to the Pig. It WAS a good format when it was on FM. Hence the consultant. No common sense this guy.

Yes, I remember the enormous ratings the Pig was getting. If Flinn is tired of losing money, then a flip back to such a proven winning format will certainly put him quickly and squarely back in the black. Thank God for those consultants. They always seem to come along and save the day. Best darn money you could ever spend. Can't wait to see the doc start rakin' in all that cash! Consultants!!....**** Yeah!!! It's gonna be GREAT to have the Indigo girls and Lyle Lovett back on my radio again. I just hope this time they play more Michelle Shocked.<P ID="signature">______________

Truly genius!

But, truly sad that we may never know if the boards do anything to help 'HBQ-FM. I see some jacked-up swine headed back our way.

You're all wrong

I predict Flinn will try to cash in on BOTH formats.

Stand by for "Jack The Pig" !

I for one would love to have the Pig back on the air, I loved the music and the interviews and the shows at the Peabody were a lot of fun too. I have been in radio a long time, I was at FM100 when it was album rock (and Olsen was an intern) I was on the original airstaff at Rock 103 doing 7-Midnight but doing mornings at the Pig was about the most fun I have had in radio. Mainly working with Heather she used to crack me up every morning! Say what you will about Doc I think the station sounded better that the talk on 103 (I heard them the other day talking about one of the Everly Brothers being dead, you know Bobby Hatfield. If you are going to do the format, you have to know the music!) or the crap on 98.1. The Pig would be a breath of fresh air (think about that for a minute). I hope it does happen.

I enjoyed it too Mitch. I listened on the internet a lot when I was down in Jackson. One of the most disappointing days of my career was when I was having absolutely the most horrible day at work, and my cell phone rang. It was Steve Richards. I had recently interviewed for the night gig on the Pig, and I was thinking to myself "if this is what I think it is, I'll go type my resignation right now." He was calling to tell me that I was a great candidate, but he had made an offer to another guy. That was tough to swallow, because I liked the station a lot and thought I'd nailed a gig there. That's the biz though.

I do hope to see it return as well.
