Q92.9 HD3 Listening Weekend

By Request, here's the links to WLTJ's HD3 (urban). HD2 will return next week. and if you like this, tune to 100.7 in about 5 months

1) this is for the Windows Media Player or iTunes it's streaming MP3 it is the same link as the HD2 this one is 64kbps mono
http://69.95.45.53:8000/listen.pls

if you have problems connecting copy the link and do not copy the "listen.pls" and paste it in your WMP or iTunes URL folder

2) this is for the Winamp Users who listen to aac+ streams, RhythmBox (Linux) & VLC's player works well with this link (VLC has a windows/mac installer) this stream is in stereo and higher audio quality click here
http://69.95.45.53:9000/listen.pls

for RhythmBox (Linux) (my favorite)
http://www.gnome.org/projects/rhythmbox/

For VLC (PC/Mac) (close 2nd)
http://www.videolan.org/vlc/

For Winamp (PC only) if I need to use windows XP
http://www.winamp.com/player

with the possible sale of CBS, it will be interesting to see what happens on the FM dial. I could see 100.7 going urban and head to head with WAMO.

Do you have some inside info that Star is flipping to Urban by Christmas? ???

I can see it now! ;D

We will have the usual game play, Star 100.7 doing the 24 hours a day of Christmas music starting probably at Thanksgiving, then the flip to urban format the day after Christmas, kinda like the way every other cookie cutter has done before when flipping formats.

From a revenue perspective, there is absolutely not a hole for another urban in this market, especially with as urban as Kiss leans. And forget Urban AC too, WJJJ got decent ratings but they couldn't sell it.

I disagree about 100.7 flipping to urban. If it should flip at all, it should flip to Active Rock and fill the void Pittsburgh has had since K-Rock left.

At this point, If 100.7 does flip to Rhythmic (probably more along the lines of WZMX/Hartford) it wouldn't surprise me. Remember, that frequency was home to "Mix 100.7."

i love the good old days of mix jamz 100.. I think it lasted about 2 and a half years. Does anyone remember how good the ratings were during that format?

I am definitely with you on this one.

Well, it's gone, so that should be your first hint.....

Actually as I remember they were OK but it fell victim to the need to have 9 country stations in the market for some unknown reason....
