Q92.9 questions?

Guess I have been behind on the times as usual since I don't listen to the radio that much anymore, but noticed today that Q92.9 no longer announces the songs after each track which is a good thing, and after checking their website, I see Dave Cook (from the B) is now doing mid days.

When did these two things happen?

If the "tags" stopped it was very recent. I'm pretty sure they were still doing them earlier this week. Mostly a male voice lately.

Not sure when Dave started, I first heard him about 3 weeks ago. Only check them out very occasionally.

By the way, in the last PPM they ranked 10th in women 25-54, WHICH IS THEIR TARGET DEMO.

I,m not that familiar with it, but before i left pittsburgh for san diego 7 years ago, i thought their product was better, more personable, less robotic....can't listen anymore.

They have finally dumped the recorded backsells at the end of each song.... Dave and Zack Zabo are talking a little more and there's a little more energy. Music mix is still kinda weird.

I must admit I got a kick out of this line and am so glad and relieved to know that I'm not the only radio/broadcast person who really doesn't listen to the radio that much anymore. ;)

If Arbitron ever chose me to participate in a radio ratings survey - I'm afraid the diary (do they still do diaries?) or PPM machine will register - 5 minutes listened for the week. So sad to see what's become of our industry.
