Just wondering if anyone knows who Journal is bringing in to program Q93? I just saw where Paul Orr left for the PD gig at Cox's WZZK Birmingham. That's a shame because Q93 sounds great. I've always loved the slick production and CHR style sweepers and jingles on the Q. I hope whoever Journal hires keeps this style of programming and keeps it focused as a new/younger skewing station. Productionwise, they've blown 'IVK out of the water in my book & are a lot more fun to listen to.

Anyway, just wondering if anyone's heard anything. Hopefully they aren't flipping.
 
Mike Hammond and Jack Ryan are on their Facebook pages right now talking about a new gig. (sniff, sniff, sniff...) Anybody smell a father/son package deal at The Q?

Too bad The Q doesn't have the signal to compete. It's unlistenable in places like Sevier County. I wonder if they can upgrade now with the changes recently made to 92.9 in Newport.
 
Pretty sure it's Merle since they are making a "major announcement" at 5:20pm Monday, and that's the time Jack Ryan will announce where he's going on Facebook
 
If that's the case, I sure hope they don't let him throw out the George Jones and Willie Nelson songs.
 
I agree the Q sounds way better than IVK and I too love the jingles. But I can listen to the Q all the way down almost into Cherokee and never had any trouble in Sevier...
