The Pittsburgh board has a history of B94. Could anybody do a history of Q94?

Probably the longest continuous CHR without a break on the same signal and nobody cares. This board is always snoozing ------ bummer

Ask an you shall receive: http://www.thefullwiki.org/WRVQ

The only things I can remember is that sometime in the 70s, Q94 complained to Watermark that some AM (non-CHR) station was holding AT-40 hostage and were able to convince them to forcably remove the show from the AM an hand it to Q94. At40s been on ever since and always at the same timeslot, 8-noon sunday. I 1st heard it in 1985. I remember the Morining zoo. Corey Deeds joined the zoo after leaving Z104 Norfolk. I remember David Lee Michaels and the Top 5 @10 (I belive I have an aircheck). They did tweak the format a lil in the mid 90s but didnt quite go all the way to HotAC. They were just.....there....always, never wavering from The Hits. Fast forward today and they've fired everyone local and the whole station is now outsourced, yet still a CHR for almost 43 yrs now. Amazing.

After reading that link, I didnt know that Corey had started @Q94. I first heard him on Z104 but remember hearing him on Q94 after leaving Z104. I guess that was a return visit

Q is local in afternoons and nights, no? (Jackson and Kash)

---Jackson is local....how much of his show he's sitting in the studio is unknown (VT!)...
---Deitz had two runs at Q94 and I believe his time in Norfolk was in-between...
---I remember hearing AT40 on Q in the late 70s. I suspect the AM station that had it when they wanted it was WLEE....
