Q95

As much as we all love Jay Baker, Laura is one of clear channel's bread and butter syndicateds on premium choice. Just Like Stuck and Dog have to do Doubles between their air shifts on X and Q they also have to do sports updates on WNDE. thank goodness Stuck's can be taped and thrown on Audio Vault to air till 2:40pm.
 
We all know how Steele got her 'job' and retained her 'job' ... Baker's was likely given to him based on his 'ON AIR' abilities.
 
Ive noticed recently Jay doesn't talk about himself all the time like laura always does. and I don't know Jay but I bet he and Laura didn't get their jobs the same way.
 
Certain people just sound right on certain radio stations. Jay Baker just sounds right on Q95. Hope someway CC can find a way to get him on the air a lot more often.
 
Ya know, if I was trying to get Jay Baker fired this is just how I would go about it. Start raggin' on Q's bread and butter star's girlfriend (And mother of his child). But you guys know so much, c'mon Radioho, you like to talk, how did she get and keep her job???

Jay is a great jock. Hopefully he'll be on the air more as the economy improves and we get through these difficult times.

Laura Steele is a great personality...and an incredible person. Many of us who have worked in Indy are blessed to be able to call Laura a friend. She's the first to congratulate you in good times and the first to offer help/support when times get tough.
 
I have had the pleasure of meeting her three times. Each time she was humble, polite and funny. She made sure to take time to talk to both my kids, and they were thrilled. Why would you guys want to rip on someone like that??? Also I'm a big Jay Baker fan, every time I've talked to him I've found him the same, Polite, friendly and humble... I've listened to him since the he's been on Q (how old were you bashers then...3?. I'm happy he's back. I don't think he'd be happy to see his name attached to a "Rip Thread". Make no mistake this is where this thread was heading. What do you think, Robbie???
 
Who is the "victim" you speak of? This appears to be a very nice thread about people appreciating the talents of one of this city's best broadcasters. Perhaps if management at his previous employers had taken note of Jay's ability to entertain an audience as posters on here, their ratings would have been better? Every time Jay leaves a station, the ratings drop. You know that from first hand experience.
