Qantum spreads its wings a little in MB

Bob is now the property of Qantum Communications - what do you feel the long-term effects of this acquisition are?

Format changes? A small (or moderate) seismic shift in the market?

What do you mean Bob is the property of Quantum .. I don't think so! Try Entercomm Communications!

It was announced on All Access that Qantum purchased Bob 104.9 here in MB. So therefore, Bob is the property of Qantum.

I don't foresee any changes on Bob FM. Perhaps Steve McVie (Qantum/Cape Cod) will be the consultant as he was for The "Bob-like" Sound 107.1. Steve's a real good guy and I had a blast working with him for 5 years. I don't expect any changes/format tweaking outside the Qantum building in reaction to WQSD going Urban AC.

Yep Qantum Myrtle Beach shouldn't need tweak Mix 97.7 or Gator 107.9 as CHR and Country shouldn't hurt the new format. Will only hurt 98.5 KISS-FM. As of this format change Qantum Myrtle Beach looks strong along with the stations Next Media owns Star, KZQ, Wave, and WRNN. Only weak company is Cumulus, they need to step it up.
