QEI Transmitters

Good afternoon everyone,

I posted this earlier this afternoon on the engineering portion of the board and I wanted to see if any of you guys had heard anything.

We had a problem this morning with our QEI Quantum 300E transmitter. To make a long story short, I removed a module and was planning to return it to the factory when I learned that QEI has suspended all operations until further notice due to the economic downturn. Obtained the information when I called the company and got a recording.

Anyway, I was wondering if any of you had heard anything about this.

I've got my engineer working on the module now, but it is going to take some time to get it repaired.

Any information would be appreciated.

Bob Brown, the main engineering guy at QEI has a repair business on the side. He's very good and is the guy to fix your module (I've got a Quantum 2.4). I don't have his number but I bet you can find it on Google. I'm pretty sure he lives in NJ.

Thanks Kevin...I happen to have Bob's home telephone number when we had a problem a year or so ago.

For those interested, I made contact with Bob Brown today , formerly of QEI, regarding some repair work on my QEI transmitter.

Since I am at home tonight, I don't have his contact information with me right, however, if you would like his information, drop me an e-mail at [email protected] and I would be happy to pass it along.

For those of you interested, I got word Tuesday morning that QEI has reopened.
Understand the parent company made the arrangements for the company to get back to work.
