Q100 did a really good job of promoting the move to 99.7 in the 2 weeks before it happened. And the "To the left...to the left" in the morning once the Bert Show started simulcasting was very clever.
But have they done enough to get their entire cume over to 99.7?
I know Cumulus was eager to get the new 100.5 rolling so they could run the spots that had been booked on 99X. Personally, I think they should have run the "To the left" loop for all of last week, to get the entire cume over to 99.7.
Q100 is still heavily promoting the move, but they're doing it on 99.7 only. So people who have already made the move are being reminded of it, which is fine until clock radios and car radios are reset. But I haven't seen any outside promotion for the move, and the winter book is underway.
So have they done enough?
