Rumor has it at least 3 people from the QCRG were pink slipped. KUUL & Q 106 PD Bo J Spates, Mix mid jock Debbie McFadden, and WOC NEWS Phil Roberts. There might be more to come

also one from creative and one from traffic. and 2 part timers

Bo J has been on local airwaves for quite a while, and Debbie McFadden is gone now too? I thought I heard her voicetracking stations in other cities, scary when you can do so many different jobs for a station and still now get to keep your job.

So with them getting rid of the PD of KUUL and Q106.5 are they gonna make any changes to the stations or just continue to run jockless most of the day? I think we all know the answer to this one!!

I'm assuming they'll start piping stuff in from other markets now. Which is something I don't believe they've ever done in the QC cluster. I know they've had jocks from one of the QC stations VT for their other QC stations, but not have it done from another market. Goes to show how much ratings matter....making cuts 4 weeks into a ratings period. From the listening I've done, and browsing each of the station's websites, it doesn't appear they're doing any big money promotions this ratings period. I can't remember the last ratings period that group of stations didn't have a big money promotion.

they've been untouched by the previous CC cuts. so i imagine CC has to make up for that by making these cuts pretty deep in the QC.

the cuts in jan were mainly sales. although jim fishers producer was the only one from programing fired. now fisher runs his own board and will have interns screen his calls

who will PD 2 stations now that spates is gone?

Same music on two stations

I just logged on to kool108.com (KQQL Minneapolis), and under "just played" was American Pie, Satisfaction, and Diamond Girl. KUUL-FM is playing "the day the music died" right now! And before that was the same Rolling Stones classic, preceded by Seals and Crofts! Did these two (and possibly more) stations join a nationwide radio network or what?
