Hear me out on this one...was coming to work tues am, and WRWD aired a spot from Freedom Ford announcing a holiday clearance sale on their cars...complete with a christmas carol for a music bed.....How can this happen?? I know that all of this stuff is on Hard drive and the Jock couldn't possibly listen to all of them first. The guys who taught me the ropes told me that the DJ is the last line of defense for the station, and if the DJ lets it go, its out there. Computer / programming glitch?? Guess its easy to tell that the radio stations are cutting back, with so called talent that should not be on the air, and there are plenty of bad and over-rated so called on air folks who shouldnt be...inmates are running the asylum.......

Then the blame should be the morning drive host. I hope the morning drive host heard it. If so then it will be taken out of the computer.
 
The way radio has devolved today, I doubt the jock was paying attention to what was happening, letting the computer run the show when he is not talking. It’s bad radio, but I have heard similar instances on other stations as well.

a few questions: 1) did the one minute spot have the xmas bed under it? 2) did the xmas music continue or was it definitely part of the spot? 3) if it was JUST the spot than its the sales rep fault .... dont forget the jocks do as told. so if the sponsor wants a xmas bed in their spot whether it be january or july then they're going to get it! thats what they get paid for!
 
Oh there's no doubt it was a Christmas spot; Holiday (politically correct) sale at Freedom Ford. It gets better. Yesterday, Groundhog day, CJ and his Valley girl sidekick, Dee, were talking about it but they both admitted they didn't know what it was all about; Knew nothing about when the groundhog sees his shadow, there will be six weeks more of winter, and if it doesn't, well we all know. They had no idea about any of it. Hmmmm. A good morning crew would know what it was about, and seize the opportunity to open the phone lines and take guesses, vote, etc and make a feature out of it. And if they didn't know anything, all you have to do is google it. Nope, shrugged it off. Bad radio. I'm kind of surprised that the PD didn't initiate something. More lost opportunity.
Also, I heard a spot that CJ had recorded, where he was actually talking, got a frog in his throat and kept going...do another take, einstein...
