Quality of Reds Broadcast Today

Has anyone else noted the quality of the Reds' radio broadcast today (Friday)? The feed of the Reds-Cubs game from Wrigley Field with the voices of Marty Brennaman and Jeff Brantley seems overmodulated. It is not only coming that way over flagship station WLW but also from network affiliate WING in Dayton. I know the weather in Chicago is in the low 40's with light rain, but question if that or the other winter-like weather in the upper Midwest would be responsible.

I listened for awhile around 4pm on WLW, and it sounded like Marty's mike was louder than Cowboys. Every time Marty spoke, it sounded like it was drowning out the crowd noise.

I quoted my own message in order to correct my spelling and grammar. I was multitasking at the time a wrote the above comment.

Marty and Jeff sounded like they were broadcasting from an underwater phone while I was heading to work around 2:45 today. I turned the office radio on about an hour later and it was back to normal.
