This is something ive noticed for a long time not just recently. I'm not a techie so Ill just use kindergarten terms. Wht is the sound quality different on different stations? is it the stations equipment? antenna placement?
I'll use these 2 stations for example since theyre owned bt the same company.
979X has a crisp, clear sound, CD quality if you will.
BHT has a rather flat sound. much like if one turned the bass too high and the treble too low on the tone controls.
what gives?

When's the last time you heard a "flat" radio station? BHT is FAR from flat my friend.

I've always thought BHT's audio sounded a bit "muddy".

I must agree, BHT sounds clear and crisp IMO, on the 95.7 frequency at least anyway.

Before anyone gets the wrong idea, Im not "knocking" BHT. I Don't work for Entercom. In fact I like BHT. I'm just saying it sounds Muddy compared to other stations.
A few oservations I've made
1) 95.7 is clearer than 97.1
2) It's not just on one radio.I've noticed it on different radios in different locations.
I'm glad someone else is backing me up on this.
